What we'll do
Tucked in the Cozie Alps, Val di Susa is a valley where dramatic mountains meet green fields, and ancient traditions thrive. This region offers a distinct experience of Piedmont’s culture and nature, from historic vineyards to Roman landmarks.
Our day begins in Chiomonte, home to a tiny family-run winery with a tradition dating back to 1346. Here, we’ll discover the rare production of Icewine, with only 200 bottles made each year—its survival threatened by climate change.
Next, we’ll explore Susa, where Roman and medieval history comes to life. We’ll visit landmarks like the Augustus Arch, Roman bridge, and the Roman amphitheatre, all part of the historic Via Francigena.
We’ll finish with focaccia dolce, a sweet pastry from a bakery that’s been making it for over 150 years.
This day offers the perfect blend of history, nature, and local flavors in one of Piedmont’s most captivating valleys.
